The first editing lesson is almost two hours of editing one photo together

Siril, Photoshop and Lightroom / For beginners at editing

We start by actually editing. You open the same RAW files I open, and we take the photo from the stack to the export, with every click on screen. Once you've done it yourself, I explain the workflow behind it, and then we edit four more photos the same way.

I've been shooting the Milky Way for a few years now, and in 2024 I decided to start posting my work. Before I even realised what happened, I was a creator hahah. Jokes aside, I shoot astro for a living now. I learn, experiment, and come up with techniques and systems, and then I turn them into lessons, so you don't have to go through all of that yourself.

To be honest, it took me a lot of time and effort to come up with a workflow as simplified as this one. And no, it's not simple at all compared to editing a regular daytime photo. But it's the best way to edit as a beginner (maybe even advanced) astrophotographer.

This course is basically the workflow I use and teach, just as on-demand videos, so you can watch it and learn at your own pace. We edit some of my favourite photos from the last few years. Editing together is the number one way to learn astro editing. It's how I wish I had started learning, because it would have saved me so much effort.
